The unique pre-cut T-slit conforms snugly around drains, catheters, chest tubes, I.V.'s and tracheotomies. There are no loose threads to fall into wound. Sterile.

Excilon AMD drain sponges are impregnated with PHMB (Polyhexamethylene Biguanide), a powerful yet safe antiseptic that has a broad range effectiveness against gram positive and gram negative microorganisms including some multi-drug resistant strains such as MRSA. Excilon AMD sponges resist bacterial colonization within the dressing, reduce bacterial penetration through the dressing and provide broad-spectrum protection.
