CURITY AMD sponges are impregnated with the antiseptic PHMB (a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent) to prevent bacterial penetration through the dressing and to inhibit growth within the dressing. CURITY AMD sponges contain 0.2% PHMB (polyhexamethylene biguanide).
